Marshmallows for Toasting

Yes, all 3 of us Hewitts went camping! I'm sure the baby liked it, especially the s'mores (my favorite!). ;) We got to our campsite Thursday night and had just enough time to make a fire, eat some dinner and sleep. It was so cold that night!! Thankfully it warmed up the next day. We all had a blast - even the bugs who happened to think Josh was a walking buffet. Poor guy. This one ant had a strong dislike for him, making it very clear by the bite he gave Josh's foot. It swelled up pretty bad, but he's doing lots better now. :)

We camped near some friends, who are also expecting a baby girl. :D We had fun talking about baby stuff while the guys did manly things like set up tents. Oh! And don't ever get crossed in a Blockus match with Josh and Erika. There will be blood.

Here are some fun pics from our weekend:
The guys needed to move a table so it was closer to us. I got there too late - this shot is in fact posed.
Jessica near the cute cupcake tent.
Patrick sleeping outside. Apparently it was really nice. I would have froze.
Josh waiting for water to get hot so we could have cocoa! The wind was really chilly that morning.
Momma H.'s kitchen. Oh yeah.
Our scrumptious breakfast - though kind of burnt until I figured out the stove.
Kates chillin like a villain.
We brought mushies!
The lake was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. (this one is a sunset) I wanted to have a fishing pole because the fish were jumping like crazy!

Well It Happened

It snowed! Yesterday there were these huge flakes falling from the sky. It was gorgeous. My sister and I ran outside to soak in the...cold - and enjoy the snow. I took pictures, but the camera is at home and our 'net isn't working. :( We got to go home early from work, too! The traffic was amazingly backed up, but it gave us a chance to watch the snow fall. :D

Later on yesterday we looked outside and noticed our neighbors boy had built a tiney 2 foot snowman on the lawn at the apartment. It was cute being so miniature.

It was a perfect day for making cookies, so I did. They were shared with co-workers today, otherwise they would go bad sitting at our house for weeks. I'm not used to making stuff and having it sit around for so long. Before I was married my family of 6 would eat a batch of cookies in like 2 days. This way I keep Josh and I from eating too many and we can share!

Josh and I hung out at home and watched some Stargate a friend is loaning is. Oh, and I called my brother. So it was a somewhat productive afternoon! I didn't get dinner made till like 8. *ashamed* but we had cookies, so it wasn't like we were dying of hunger. haha Terrible I know...
