Play Time!

We had the opportunity to watch one of Annie's friends last week while her mommy went to the dentist. It was so fun to have another little girl around! Here are a few pictures from little Ava's visit. PS. the string you see is from Annie's birthday balloon.Annie enjoyed playing with Ava.
I wonder if Annie is applauding Ava's standing abilities. Annie just started "walking" around hanging onto the furniture, while Ava is a full blown walker!
Sweet girl!
Annie would follow Ava around and try to do the same things she did. Maybe she will try walking now!

4th of July

I don't have pictures because I was a slacker during Independence Day and refused to take any. We did have a wonderful day, though! We decided to watch fireworks the night before since we had planned to visit some friends 4th of July evening. I think it was the best firework show we've ever seen! They were real close and spectacularly arranged. (don't ever ask me to write ads, you'll just end up with bad descriptions like that one) There was music playing as well to go with the light show. Annie loved them! We were nervous she would cry, but after we told her how fun it was she decided she liked them and would clap. Josh said her jaw dropped open when the show first started and one could hear little sighs of delight coming from her open mouth. Too cute...

We had family and friends over the next day for a BBQ starring Josh's new grill. It makes the best grill marks ever - and the meat turns out just right! We played some games and watched our entertainment (Annie). After all the excitement we didn't go to the party that night after all. Hey we're old married people now - we can use that excuse!

Hope your celebrations were memorable.
